The Lassie and the White Bear, from the tale "East of the Sun, West of the Moon." It's also my tribute to Danish illustrator Kay Nielsen, whose work inspired me before I could read. This piece was sculpted in "Premier" air dry clay, and stands about 14 inches to the top of the girl's head.
Hi, I don't know how old this post is, but this was my favourite fairy tale as a little girl. I would love to have this. I mean, I really would. I know you probabloy don't sell your work, but I would pay anything to have this model. Do you make copies? Please let me know, it's beautiful.
the compositional dynamics of this piece wonderfully embodies the original source, but also exquisitely interprets the intricacy and flow of kay nielsen's work while embracing a uniqueness of vision beautifully your own. i, like you was exposed in nielsen's work before i found words, and i must say bravo. this is perfection.
